I've been online all day today and yesterday looking for personalized and miscellaneous gifts for my bridesmaids (6 of them, it's fiance's fault for having too many groomsmen! lol), jr bridesmaid and flower girl and I have everything but there's one thing missing and I cannot decide. I went over my budget on everything but I just can't help myself when it comes to gifts.

I cant decide if I want to get personalized robes or tshirts/tank tops to finish it off. I can't seem to find anything I like that won't make me feel guilty for spending too much. What does everyone think? Robes too cliche? Also, if you have links please share! I feel like I've been to every website! I've looked all over Etsy and it's frustrating me so unless it's a helpful link directly to a shop please don't recommend it!

Im personally over the robe trend. Im going to ask my bridesmaids to wear flannel shirts- so easy to take off and it goes with our fall theme

This is my 2nd day hunting for a long robe that I want. They are either too expensive, too large on the torso (I am under 5”), or no longer available 😔 Robes or Shirts? 1

I love the idea of the girls wearing their own comfortable leggings and then giving them a crew neck or a button up shirt that has their initials or names embroidered on. I haven’t found anything I like for that. However I did see these robes and I think they are so beautiful and incredibly reasonably priced! https://www.etsy.com/listing/718156730/bridesmaid-robes-bridesmaid-gifts-bridal?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=plus+size+flannel+bridesmaid&ref=sc_gallery-1-14&plkey=12392ecccab76bdbcea7e43fa2072e2b08448427%3A718156730&pro=1&col=1

Neither. I hate when brides want the WP to wear stuff like that. Let everyone bring something they are comfortable in. Little stuff, and gifts for everyone that are all the same, mostly end up in the trash. Save your money. Buy 1 gift for each as though it is a birthday present. Specific to that one person's tastes and hobbies. It does not have to be expensive. But though your bridesmaids may seem like a group to you, unless you all grew up together, none of them feel like a team or group. To give a gift half may never wear, is silly. A lot of people will not be photographed partially dressed, in a shortie robe. And inexpensive ones feel bad. I have been in a lot of weddings. The never worn robes, and anything g with anything written on them, even monaograms which I hate, go in the rags to cut up for doll clothes bin. Scented anything, trash. Glasses, tumblers with anything written on them , Goodwill won't even take them, so many people discard them. Trash. You can find better uses for money. And robes and shirts are a trendy thing. A recent fad. You are already telling people what to wear at the wedding. Don't push it by deciding what they must wear getting ready .

I also though about robes but its so common, I ended up finding silk pajamas. I like the tshirt/ tank top idea. Maybe you can just but the shirts and have them made at the local mall so its more authentic with your own design.

Sounds like you should decline to be in anyone's wedding. Something has you bitter and that's sad. For you to assume everyone shares your opinion on someone's post asking for POSITIVE advice is also sad. I'm sorry you've had such awful experiences to make you feel this way. Not that it's any of your business, but I've surveyed each of them in my party prior to even thinking of doing something like this and they've all said they'd be ok with the options I gave. I've been overly considerate of their needs and wants to the point of them telling me "it's your wedding, we're here for you it's about what you want". Next time you feel compelled to tell someone they are being foolish and wasting money, consider it to be rude and inconsiderate and save yourself the time and looking foolish yourself. You have no idea what research someone has done prior to thinking of ideas like this and you also have no idea what their exact intent is. Practice what you preach and be considerate that others likely don't share your opinion and keep your rude comments to yourself.

Thank you for everyone who posted POSITIVE comments! I appreciate a group of women coming together to help each other without being catty and rude! I ended up going with silk robes that have the person's name printed on the back through David's Bridal because they gave me an additional 15% on top of the 30% they were already offering. I got them decently priced so I'm happy! I plan to give them to each of them in their gift bag I've put together for them when it gets closer to October and will tell them to wear what they want under the robe and all I want is a pic or two of all of us in them and then they can do whatever they want from there. They won't have their titles on them just their names. Thanks again for everyone's help! Hope you're all staying healthy and safe and good luck to all!

    Tiffany,

I might be a little different, but I ended up getting these for my bridesmaids. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0754Y4HGY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
granted I will be getting married in Hawaii, but I wanted something that we could put on and not be hard to take off and mess up hair or makeup. But since we'll also be in Hawaii, it can double as a swim cover up later or a towel, dress, etc.
But I did run it by my bridesmaids before I bought them all and they loved the idea. Hope this helps! Smiley smile

I am getting married in December so I am not doing either. I'm doing plaid pajama pants instead. They are really comfy and warm and I think its perfect for the winter
