Good evening everyone! I have currently been shopping around for a new engagement ring and band that aren't diamond. I have diamonds, I love my diamonds; after all they are a girls best friend!     1.4 carat natural heat treated medium blue sapphire. The stone and setting is from James Allen. We also looked at Leibish for the stone.

    It's my favorite blue and the ring has a lot of floral leaves

    It's "cornflower blue." It's lighter than the royal blue typically associated with sapphires and very popular in Australia. It has excellent clarity and saturation.

    My favorite part is it never looks black. It either looks medium or dark blue with the right amount of sparkle. My fiance spent a little over 2k but they gave him a heavy discount (33% off) after they had a marketing screw up and spoiled the surprise. He's still mad at James Allen. I am not. He thinks I acted normal and I only used public information.

    Mine is a natural heat treated sapphire but you could get that color in a lab sapphire easy. I like the imperfections. I find it to be a metaphor for life. The imperfections is what makes it beautiful to me. Lab created have a tendency to be very unnaturally flawless.

    Also can be called Ceylon blue but that should help your search if that is the color you are looking for

    I have moissanite for my stones. I have never been a fan of real diamonds.
