Rings other than diamonds

I have a sapphire ring. It is a medium blue. It came from James Allen.

I can't get the picture to work

It looks like a diamond, but it's actual a white topaz! Of course the smaller ones are diamonds. I just told my FH that I didn't want CZ as the gem and he custom designed this ring.

Mine is late 1800 vintage with a spinel gemstone. It’s blue in natural lighting and purple in yellow lighting!

I chose a diamond ring but I love sapphire rings as well. Check out Cushla Whiting Jewelry. They have some really gorgeous rings.

My ring is a fire opal! It’s definitely not traditional but I absolutely love it! It’s my favorite gemstone by a long shot

I can't attach a picture here, but it's my profile picture. My stone is tanzanite. I love the changing colors and I wear a LOT of purple, so it was perfect for me. Also, it was a fraction of the cost of the diamonds we were looking at, so win-win!

Mine is a moonstone (engagement) and opal (wedding band) set. I was a little bit concerned about the durability of the opal, but my mother also had an opal engagement ring (and wears another opal ring constantly now), and it's held up well. I love it.

The center stone is aquamarine and the side stones are London blue topaz. There are diamonds on the side though.

I told my FH around the time we started talking about our future that I didn't want a diamond because they are cliché and so expensive. When he finally proposed he gave me this: Lab Created Alexandrite, amethysts on the sides with very very small diamonds around the band. The band is silver plated stainless steal because I'm allergic to all metals except steal.

View Quoted Comment I think lab creations are the best gemstones for rings because they are just as durable as diamonds and you can get any kind of stone in any color. Ex: Yellow ruby. Plus they look extremely extravagant but the most you'll be paying is $1,000 which is about the same you would typically pay for a simple diamond ring.
