Rings for ceremony

Paige, on October 13, 2019 at 4:38 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
What did you guys do with your engagement ring during the ceremony. I am considering getting my rings sauntered together before the wedding... thoughts? I don’t like the idea of wearing my ring on the other hand because it doesn’t fit lol

I'm just going to wear mine on my ring finger as normal and have my FW slide my band on top if it. I'm having mine soldered as well, but not until after the wedding. I don't want to wear my wedding band before the ceremony and I would like to have my engagement ring on for our "getting ready" photos.

My engagement ring doesn’t fit on my right hand either. I intended to have my husband just put the wedding band on top of the engagement ring during the ceremony, and then I’d just switch it afterwards. But then during the ceremony right before the ring exchange I ended up actually just taking off my engagement ring and putting it on the little table we had, then he put my wedding band on and then I just slipped the engagement ring right back on top 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you want to get them soldered together maybe wait until after the wedding? or you could just take off the whole set and have him put it on at the ceremony. Though that would either involve you (1) not wearing your engagement ring for at least a few days, or (2) wearing your wedding band with your engagement ring before you’re married. So personally I’d just wait until after

    Hey Paige!

Great insights from the PPs! Are you happy to wear your wedding band before the wedding day if you do solder it together? You can always wear your engagement ring the day, and slip it off before the ring exchange and then pop it on!

What would you be most comfortable doing?

So my rings look kinda awkward next to each other when they aren’t permanently attached. There is a curve in the wedding band that is supposed to line up under the diamond and the under side of the band has no diamonds. They weren’t made to be worn not soldered together I don’t think. I have a silicone ring I wear at work I would wear up to wedding day. But I do like everyone’s suggestions. My concern is I’ll be messing with the ring all night making sure it’s lining up with the engagement ring.

You won't even have time to think about your ring that day after your ceremony. Everything goes so fast! You will forget to take it off and put it on the other hand, I meant to and forgot. You might also forget to swap it after. It is such a small detail, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you're happier to get them soldered together before the wedding day, I'd say go for it Smiley smile

Getting mine soldered after the wedding.
I couldn't part with my engagement ring until the wedding.
