FH got his ring in the mail yesterday!! It shipped early, which is great. But OMG it's freaking perfect!! It is fossilized dinosaur bone, gibeon meteorite and Koa Wood (the most expensive hardwood and it is from Hawaii, which is where we are honeymooning!), because SCIENCE. So brag about your future...

Almost ring twin! Ours is deer antler and meteorite.

Does he plan to wear it every day? DH does and the meteorite pattern has worn down quite a lot. It still looks awesome though, more of a subtle look which I prefer.

Also It hasn't got rusty despite all the warnings that meteorite rusts easily.

FH originally wanted a mahogany and lapis ring, but it was too likely to become damaged with his job. Then he wanted tungsten and dinosaur gem bone, but the gem bone could also be easily damaged with his job. His ring was $550, but for an extra $30 they sent us multiple aluminum sizers for him to wear before ordering to make sure that we sized him correctly per their sizers.

Mrs.T - Awesome! He does plan to wear it every day, except doing heavier things like sports, mowing the lawn, anything with water, etc. Did yours come with the protection already, too? I think it's just to protect the meteorite. We did read all of the warnings about the rusting, which is why we bought the silicone rings for our honeymoon. FH is a Chemical Engineer but is mostly at a computer all day, so he didn't think he would have to worry about wear. Thanks for the update on how the wear is going! It's good to know. I was worried since it was so pricey Smiley smile Lol. But glad he still loves it after almost a year!

@Kelly, I want that owl ring!

FH wanted something plain, but I did talk him into going with one that has brushed and shiny tungsten.

For some reason it was hard to get a good picture. We have had FH's ring for a while (we bought it with credit from when he bought mine - so his was included in my engagement/wedding rings). I don't have my wedding ring, as it is still in the store, since it still has to get sized and fitted with my engagement ring. We will probably do that in a couple of months.

I believe his ring is tungsten with carbon fiber? I can't remember (and he is sleeping right now, so I can't ask him).
