Ribbon around invites

If you put ribbon around your invite can I see?

I want to tie a big bow with a charm around each invite/rsvp/accomodation card set to keep them all together and i think it would be cute. But I know most people who do this have pocket cards which i dont and dont know if it would look weird.

I am thinking something like this, but with slightly wider ribbon and around all of the pages together

    I want to do the same thing! I'll be following this to get some ideas. We just ordered our invitations and I really want some way to keep everything all together while looking pretty!

    Just a warning on the ribbon! It can put your invite above the weight limit on postage and add a huge dollar amount to your mailing costs! May be worth taking it to the post office and checking with them before you get your heart set on something Smiley smile

    I figure if it makes it weigh more I think it'll just make it change from the forever stamps to 70cent stamps. So for 100 invites like a $30 difference right?

    I will either be using big ribbon or belly bands.... whatever is cheaper LOL

    A tiny dab of hot glue or a glue dot on the back of the bottom card will hold the ribbon in place while it makes it way through the postal service.
