Rewording Invitation help..

Ashley1luv3, on January 10, 2019 at 10:47 AM Posted in Planning 0 16
I finally found a invitation that matches my color scheme on Etsy. Only thing is I don't want the top to say "together with their families". I prefer that it don't say anything about family. Anyone know what else I can write there.

Could you just omit that line entirely?

I love that color scheme, Ashley1luv3!!! Instead of the family line, you could do something simple like, "You are cordially invited to" or "The honor of your presence is requested." It's the same idea of "come to this wedding" but without mentioning families. Smiley smile

I can omit it but I liked the idea of having something there but if I can't find anything else I'll just omit it.

You could put something like “with great happiness” (or any other emotion word) up there! I think it would work grammatically and certainly imply that you and your SO are hosting.

Would something like "The future Mr. & Mrs. LastName," work?
I'm not sure if etiquette shuns using that on invites though.

If it is a secular ceremony then the standard phrase is "The pleasure of your company is requested at the marriage of. . ." If it is a religious ceremony at a church then the phrase is "The honor of your presence is requested at the marriage of. . ."

Hey Ashley!! I agree with some of the other suggestions. You could honestly leave it blank or simply putting "Please join us for the marriage of.." or "You are cordially invited to the wedding of..." would be just fine!
