return addresses on back of invitations..?

Soooo we had a stamp made with our address on it so we dont have to write it a million times. BUT i want to put it on the back of the envelope because it looks better since i am handwriting the people we want to invite on the front. Will USPS not send them if the address is on the back? I know they...

Soooo we had a stamp made with our address on it so we dont have to write it a million times. BUT i want to put it on the back of the envelope because it looks better since i am handwriting the people we want to invite on the front. Will USPS not send them if the address is on the back? I know they would LIKE it to be on the front, but I am not sure if they will send if it is on the back. Any input? I was thinking of sending one to see if the person actually gets it. Good idea? Thoughts?

    Technically the return address is supposed to be on the front. I would say 90% of the time you won't have an issue. My dad is a retired mailman and I have heard crazy stories. I'd you want to be certain the machine does not read them wrong put the address on the front. Otherwise put it on the back.

    I just sent 70 STD's with the stamp on the back and they are arriving no problem.
