Response card wording-funny or tacky?

I finally sat down to work out my invitations, and in the midst of the very long session, when we got to talking about response card wording, I half-jokingly brought up this idea. I was very surprised that my mom, FH, and printer all busted out laughing and thought it was great. Now I'm torn. I think it's awesome and know I would chuckle if I got it from someone else, but I'm concerned that it ventures too far into tacky territory for the majority of people. I trust you all will let me know if it is. For reference, we're a pretty goofy couple in general.

Good thing it's a REPLY CARD and not the INVITATION.

The invitation could be super duper fancy and everyone could see that it was fancy and then some fun options on the reply card

Rachel.... I'm not trying to attack you or anything. But so many unique ideas get bad responses on here because they aren't traditional and it can be a little sad. I am trying to encourage by providing positive story

I'm on the fence. I think they're cute, but some guests could really find them offensive, too. I do and don't agree with Rachel. I agree that if the invitation is formal and the RSVP doesn't match as far as formatting/ fonts go, yeah, I could see confused people as far as formality. If everything matches though? Probably a bit less so.

Not something we would do, I think, but I'd giggle at them if we got one.

My invitation will be more formal than the reply card I posted above. Also, I think that it's implied that it's semi-formal/cocktail attire for my wedding being that it starts at 6:15 and it's at a fancy golf course on Lake Tahoe.

I would absolutely love getting one of these! I feel like it just brings a happier vibe about. And @cassandra you'd really not attend because of a reply card? That's a ridiculous reason.. but maybe an option they'll have to add onto the card Smiley winking

I like the wording! I'm not a fan of the design but I do like the humor in it.

I really appreciate the input, and thanks for the encouragement @chocolateirkt. And thanks for the warning @rachel! It's good to have both sides. For the record I'm not one to get upset if people wear the "wrong" thing. I have too much else to care about, like if everyone is having a blast (which is all I care about other than marrying FH). TBH I kind of expect a few guests to show up in jeans but that's because it's Texas and they're farmers and they'll wear their dress jeans and I'll still love them.

@mna- everything in the suite will match. Fonts, colors styles, all of it. It's just a matter of what it says. But my biggest concern is really the offense factor over the formality factor, and y'all have helped me with that. Still undecided, need to sleep on it, but I so appreciate y'all for chiming in!

ChocolatierKT, I wouldn't *want to* attend, but I might feel I had to go for whatever reason. I think weddings are serious--joyful, I hope, but serious. And that "cute" usually isn't very. I don't expect many people to agree, but it is real a point of view, not exclusive to me.

I think it's funny and may have to take your idea for myself as well. Good stress breaker and a fun thing to get in the mail as a guest. Plus it'll be a blast reading them as they come in to see who picked what!

I think it's cute. In the end you know your audience. Our rsvp cards gave the options of

    _ yes, I'll be there!

    _ no, I'll be square.

@bee oh I hate the style. Just after the concept. I'm probably change the wording, but keep it in that same vein.

@boozybaker-first of all, awesome name. I feel like we would get along great irl ;-P second, I might have to steal that response wording...

    ETA: clarification, typo

Personally, I like the wording and it reminds me of this one:

ETA oops I see @nadia beat me to the share on page 1. Great minds, right? ;-)

I don't think it's tacky; it just looks like you're trying too hard.

But if you like it, why not?
