Reshape grandmothers ring to fit ering?

Ashley, on October 3, 2012 at 12:37 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4

This may be a silly question but is it possible to take my grandmothers gold wedding band and somehow have it reshaped to fit my engagement ring? It's kind of swirl shaped so a regular band wont go. Sorry for the awful pic, it's my cell phone lol.

It should be pretty easy. Gold isn't that hard to shape.

I would think so...like Pan said gold isn't hard to shape, it's a pretty soft metal. My jeweler told me when they size gold rings they just heat and stretch the metal to size and it's pretty easy.

It's a beautiful ring. I love the sentiment too, that's very special. Smiley smile

That's good news! Thank you Smiley smile

I'll have to take it in to a jeweler and see how pricing would be. Thank you, I'm really excited because my engagement ring was M's mothers (I didn't cry when he proposed but I cried when I found out she gave us her original ring) & now I have my grandmothers wedding band.

Yes as Pan said it would be easy to reshape her wedding band. It really wonderful to have mothers or grandmothers ring even I have my MIL’s ring.
