Rescheduling - How would you handle it?

LONG POST: Our wedding is in August and unfortunately we’re going to have to reschedule since a lot of our guest are coming internationally and are having issues with visas and plane tickets because of the coronavirus.

We talked to our venue and they’re allowing rescheduling but are asking people to wait indefinitely before picking a date. This isn’t an option due to people previously booking plane tickets that need rescheduled and we would also need to get our vendors locked down. The venue asked us to provide a list of dates that would work for November 2020 - April 2021.
They are not allowing rescheduling for summer of next year because they are trying to keep those dates open for new clients so they can generate revenue and can stay open. A little bogus since we paid the premium summer date and are paid in full, but we accommodated and asked for Saturday’s in April 2020. Received an email back today that those dates are all booked, do we have any Fridays or Sundays we could do at any month.
So here’s my thing: 1. The venue has an outdoor rooftop where the ceremony would take place. It’s in Chicago. If we book the “window” they have available, we most likely won’t be able to have the patio wedding 2. We paid for prime season on a Saturday ($8000, just for the venue nothing else added). Non-Saturday’s are at least $1500 cheaper, and non-peak goes as low as $55003. We should be given Saturday options as a minimum since we’re not being pushed off season 4. 80%+ of our guests will be traveling from out of state or out country so a Friday wedding won’t be possible unless people take off work. 5. If we are being pushed to non-peak season and also non-peak day (Friday/Sunday) we feel we should be getting a discount
We are trying to be accommodating, but it’s our wedding too, and I feel like we are getting steamrolled and not provided with a suitable option. I obviously want the company to stay in business, but it seems like they are ripping us off.
How would you all handle the situation? We’re definitely going to push back, but we aren’t sure how much wiggle room we have. Sorry for the long post, I appreciate any feedback!

Friday in late April, rooftop required, no price increase - all prices as they were when you signed.

They can't adjust for where your guests live. April is prime wedding season and they are probably charging more for 2021. Flying internationally people will be taking time off for the wedding - even on a Saturday. They are actually working with you. They said no rescheduling indefinitely - but they are. You said it had to be immediately. There are going to be limits. I'd ask for the rooftop guarantee, no price increase, and a Friday at the and of the month.
Some people aren't getting any deposits back... Tread carefully.

Look through your contact and see what it says about rescheduling. Though they are working with you they should be giving you the same type of wedding that you signed for. Since you are contracted for a Saturday you may be able to argue.
