I am currently looking on Etsy for a seamstress to make bridesmaid dresses for me, however, I am struggling to find one that appears to be reputable and legitimate. Many stores have dress photos that appear to be ripped straight off of AliExpress, Wish or other Etsy sellers, or have photos that feature incredibly different lighting and models that would never have been taken for a single store.

Do any of you on here have recommendations for Etsy seamstresses that you have used to make either your wedding gowns or bridesmaid dresses? Thank you!

Have you looked at any retail chains? I know I recently saw a Mac Duggal off shoulder ballgown with pockets on Neiman Marcus’ site.
Saks and Nordstrom also regularly carry ball gowns.

Chrysta, I will check it out! I have just been struggling as I don’t want to spend as much on my wedding dress as I do the bridesmaid dresses. I have not looked into Mac Duggal though, so I appreciate the suggestion!

I don’t blame you! Do you have a certain price range in mind? Will you be doing classic black ballgowns? Or is there another color you had in mind?

I am trying to keep them under $400 for a simple, black classic ball gown. I would also do dark green or navy blue! I don’t care as much about color as I do finding a classic and timeless style.
