Renting a Restroom Trailer for Outdoor Wedding

Rebecca, on March 17, 2021 at 2:58 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Due to COVID my venue closed, and we have now pushed back our November wedding, to May 2022 and will be having a nice outdoor wedding instead. Are there any brides who rented a Restroom Trailer for their wedding? I'm looking into it, we will have about 115 guests, and I am unsure about how big of a bathroom I should be looking to rent, or what I should be asking these vendors for. I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to this portion of my wedding! Any advice??

Contact vendors in your area and ask them.

The vendors should be able to give you guidance on the best size, but I had a restroom trailer for ~125 (plus an available indoor access restroom available for those with some handicaps), and it was a 3 “room” trailer , which I think sounds about right for you for size. I believe the rule of thumb is 1 toilet per ever 50 guests.

You’ll need to know if you have electrical access and water access , and then if you have any accessibility issues— my trailer required a couple steps to enter, it worked okay for us because we had a ground level restroom available in the house, but that will be important to consider if you have any guests with mobility limitations. Our trailer plugged into the house, so had lights, A/C and music. They provided the TP and napkins etc , so that’s also a thing to check with potential vendors about. Most trailers also hook up to your water (just need a garden hose, basically), but we needed a trailer that provided it’s own water tanks as our issue was a Water Well capacity issue, so I had to dig a little deeper to find one of those, and it was a bit of an upcharge .
This was a really easy vendor for me to work with, I just asked around, found someone who had something that met my needs, and I took it and it was as simple as that!

I came upon this issue initially. The advice I was given on here is that typically two bathroom stalls are more than enough for 100 people. I always think the more bathrooms the better, but they do get pretty expensive.

We’re looking up trailers, they have some very nice trailers with chandeliers inside etc. prices can range from 1000 to 4000 for the day, And that of course is in my area and it may be different from state to state. I would start by googling Bathroom trailer companies first and then comparing the prices before you choose

Hi Rebecca! I've been to one wedding that rented two big restroom trailers - they were really nice but they each only had one stall so the bathroom line was pretty long!! (300 person guest list!)

I'd start getting quotes based on your venue & guest list, and see who fits your needs the best and what they recommend!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! When renting a restroom trailer for your outdoor celebration with approximately 115 guests, it's recommended to consider a trailer with 4-5 stalls. Inquire about amenities, delivery and setup logistics, maintenance, and read reviews or seek recommendations to ensure a reliable vendor. Check Luxury portable restroom . Best wishes for a wonderful and memorable wedding day!
