Hi WW Community,

I found some beautiful gowns on Rent the Runway for my bridesmaids. All my bridesmaids fell in love with the different styles, the designer, and the very affordable rental price. We basically had agreed to make rental reservations in July as that is the soonest date we can make reservations for our October event. I did my research online, went in store, asked around for people I know who have used the service...everything seemed GREAT. Well, my friend sends me a link (see below) were many customers have rated the service 1 star and have complained about their unreliability. For instance, receiving a damaged dress, receiving notification 3 days before an event that the dress is no longer available, unjust late fees, etc. So now, I am conflicted and don't know if they are as reliable as I once thought. My BMs are bummed bc obviously they were excited to wear a $700 for $100. Has anyone here used them how was it?

@AwkwardToBe wow that is so very nice of you. Here are photos of my girls. I covered their faces for privacy. I have 6 BMs and 1 MOH. The middle dress will not be use, they didn't like it. The remaining 4 dresses will be used 3 will be worn by my 6 BMs (2 per style) and the other style will be worn by my MOH. The gowns should ideally be sequence Gold/Blush. This designer is named Badgley Mischka. But other designers carry similar styles to this. The best price we have gotten so far is $250 for a Sorella Vita, but and I feel guilty about it. I would love to find a similar style for under $200. Thank you in advance.

@Julie I did check out vow to be chic but I didn't find any sequence Gold/blush gowns. But I did see they have wonderful reviews. Thank you for sharing your positive experience regarding RTR.

I'm not sure if it's a requirement for the dresses to be designer or not (I know some people need it, others not so much), but I found this one in what they say is a rose gold at Lulus. Plus it's only $96! I'm not sure about the quality of the sequins compared to what you tried on though.

The reviews look pretty good. The only issue people have is the sizing, which isn't the worst. I got my bridesmaids dresses from Lulus as well. You can sign up for their emails and get an extra 10 percent off your first order, which is an extra bonus. They do have free shipping on orders over $50, and they do offer free returns for about 10 days after you get the order if you end up not liking it or need to exchange for a different size.

That's all I've found so far that's been cheaper than what you were looking at. It's pretty hard to find cheap sequined dresses because they require so much work to make. I'll let you know if I find other options.

No problem! Plus they ship pretty quickly too. My bridesmaids got their dresses within 2-3 weeks of ordering.

@AwkwardToBe 2-3 weeks is not bad at all.
