Relationship Age Gaps in Modern Society

In my opinion, neither are important. Personalities, goals, & values are the important things & that’s not necessarily attached to either mental or physical age.

I think that’s a very difficult question because it depends on the situation. 18 year old with someone 10+ years older is different than someone 30 and being with a partner 10+ years older than them.
I worry about people that are younger and easy to be taken advantage of as they haven’t experienced life much. But even then, each relationship is different so there’s not one answer fits all to this question.

But I guess if I had to pick one it would be mental age!

I think chronological age is more important until your brain is done developing (right around age 25). After that, I think it’s fine to develop relationships with anyone of any age as long as your goals are the same. I do think there are a lot of circumstances that can change whether a relationship is appropriate though, with or without an age gap.

I agree with Anais and Sarah. It depends how young the younger person is. Chronological age is absolutely important up until mid-20s.
