For our rehearsal dinner, we will be having a real casual shrimp boil and providing beer. It will be at our venue (a barn), since we have it for the entire weekend. Our rehearsal dinner isn't so much budget based, as it is personality based. My FH and I aren't really into the formal sit down dinners, and this fits our style a lot more. Bonus: shrimp boils are EASY and affordable Smiley smile

We are having pizzas and sides delivered from a place near our hotel/venue. We have a room reserved we’re we can all relax / plays games / have drinks ect after we rehearse the wedding. Less than 20 people. We wanted to keep it low key and easy.

We're going to a local restaurant and reserving the whole back room for a few hours! It'll be a really casual get together!

If that were to ever fall through, my parents already said that we could just do something at their house where they would make something simple like alfredo and garlic bread!

ETA: Our decision was made with our budget in mind. It's a small town that we live in (where the restaurant is) so the prices are a little more expensive than other places but the portions you get are huge! We often go there and order their pulled pork nachos and share it between 4 of us at the bar haha .

We are having ours at a restaurant near the venue that has a function room and we are going to have a buffet and wine bottles on the tables. We haven't thought about what the menu will be yet, but it's Italian food. FMIL is hosting the rehearsal dinner so I will leave it up to her to decide what she wants.

In the function room of a local restaurant. We curated items from their function menu and printed out custom menus with our hashtag/names, etc. so it feels more personal (and helped us budget) and we are covering non-alcoholic drinks also. We are hoping to subliminally discourage our drinkers to think twice about drinking the night before the big day.

That sounds nice. I know there is no way I can convince my crowd not to drink the night before, I just hope no one "over does it."

There’s a great local rustic bar in town with a private room. Doing that and bringing in wood fire pizza!

I definitely need ideas. Ours will definitely be budget based, but hopefully not come off as cheap. We are paying for our own wedding and a rehearsal dinner can get costly quick!!

Having it catered at home. We're going to be having West Indian food seeing that my family is from the Caribbean.

To be honest, it's okay if it comes off as cheap. You don't want your rehearsal dinner to outshine your wedding! Side note: No matter what you choose to do, providing food & drinks for everyone won't be cheap, lol.
