For our rehearsal dinner, we will be having a real casual shrimp boil and providing beer. It will be at our venue (a barn), since we have it for the entire weekend. Our rehearsal dinner isn't so much budget based, as it is personality based. My FH and I aren't really into the formal sit down dinners, and this fits our style a lot more. Bonus: shrimp boils are EASY and affordable Smiley smile

My in-laws offered to plan and pay for the rehearsal dinner - so it wasn’t our choice but it was definitely perfect for our families (both dads and my husband are big wine drinkers)! They rented a room at a local winery and we had our friends pizza truck cater! It was pretty low key but delicious Smiley smile

We both come from big seafood eating families, lol. I'll also provide chicken nuggets for the kids and picky eaters, haha. I personally love meat / potatoes as well, so that sounds yummy.

I love wine too.....however, now that I'm in my 30's wine does not love me back anymore. Haha, I still drink it though, and would love a winery rehearsal dinner.

I feel the same! I enjoy it but it gives me a headache sometimes. They are like wine connoisseurs though! Haha

Sounds fun! So nice that you have your venue for the weekend! (I wish!) We will either be renting an airbnb (already wanted for us+bridal party) or using a faimly backyard (depending on guest count). Wanted to make it $500 and get the food from my favorite chinese spot which doesn't cater, we have catering dishes (my mom used to cater), so we will order a bunch of food and put it in the catering dishes to keep it fresh! Some wine and beer maybe and light background music!

That sounds like a nice plan. The only reason we have our venue for the entire weekend is because I did not want to worry about setting up / taking down the day of. We will set up & rehearse the day before, and clean up the next morning. But I had to pay extra to get it this way, an extra $1,000 to be exact. The venue was $1,400 for one day or $2,400 for the entire weekend (Friday at 7:00 am - Sunday at 12:00 pm).

Ahh that makes sense, but that is a nice option being that you won't have to rush and rehersal dinners are difficult to find private spots and theyre expensive so I think it's definately worth it!

We’ll only be having 12 people (bridal party and parents) at a local restaurant.

We are having a casual rehearsal dinner at the wedding venue the night before and we are having it catered by McCalisters. Having sandwich and salad platters with cookies and cake for dessert!

We are paying for everything and our house is decent size so we are having about 40-45 people over and getting pizza, making salads, chips and different dips, veggies, fruits, lots of desserts (because I love sugar), beer, mix drinks and soda. Low key just to be able to mingle with family we haven’t seen in a while from out of town

We are supposed to be renting the back room at Giordano's pizza.. This is what my FH wants. I told him this was his decision to make since his parents are paying for it. We went there a week and a half ago as a "trial" and 7 hours later FH has food poisoning! I am PRAYING that he changes his mind.

Our rehearsal dinner will likely be at our venue. They don't cater food, but during the week, they do serve deep dish pizzas (which will also be the evening snack that comes out at 10pm on the wedding night). I'll probably only have one slice because I don't want a food baby the next day!
