Rehearsal dinner transportation

Rachel, on March 14, 2017 at 10:17 AM Posted in Planning 0 6

I have a quick question. My mom is worried about how the out of town guests will get from the hotel to the rehearsal dinner and back. Many people will be flying. Do you think it's necessary to hire a shuttle? The hotel can't guarantee us a shuttle because there is another wedding that day. Thanks!

I don't think it's necessary but I think it's super thoughtful. We had one for our RD. If it's in your budget I say do it.

    Definitely not necessary.

My friend's husband is from England, and the two of them work and live in Bangkok. Half of the guests at her wedding were from out of town. Everyone else attending the rehearsal dinner pitched in to give them a ride, and it worked out fine.

Not necessary. People can take cabs.

We will be having one but my rehearsal dinner is almost a mini wedding reception because we are inviting 80 people.

I lucked into lower prices by renting my hometown's bus that is for disabled/senior citizen's doctor appointments. They do not run after office hours and are $75 an hour with 24 person capacity.

Definitely not necessary as they can be expensive but if you have it in the budget, I'm sure your RD guests would really appreciate it. But they usually plan for that kind of stuff before they RSVP yes to a wedding.
