So, we're getting (dangerously) close to going over budget and I'm trying to think of how to make the RD be inexpensive. Would an RD at a pizza place be tacky or come off cheap? I think it might be nice to have a low key night before the big day anyway, and our group is definitely a chill bunch (14...

I think it might be nice to have a low key night before the big day anyway, and our group is definitely a chill bunch (14 including me, FH and SO's)

A couple of pies, pitchers of beer/bottles of wine?

Not tacky at all.We are either doing pizza or sandwiches in my dad's backyard. The weather is going on to be great here in Vegas in September. FYI-Its covered and enclosed

I'm a fan! We're doing our RD at a brewery/Winery and they make the BEST pizza. We'll have other options for our friends/family with dietary restrictions but I'm excited for a low key evening at one of my favorite places.

Sounds nice! EDIT: My wedding planner actually recommended we choose a more casual place for the RD! She said if you puck a fancy place it has too much of a wedding vibe.

We are having ours at a gourmet pizza place. It is an old Victorian house converted to a restaurant! I love the idea of something casual before a big elegant wedding!

I think thats a good idea honestly. We're playing with the idea of having a small RD at my mom's house and ordering some pizza, salad and a tray or two of ziti and serving some wine/beer.

Nope we're doing a rehearsal BBQ where family can get acquainted. Probably near the beach so it'll be super casual! ETA: love the casual pizza idea by the way!
