I would go with a restaurant. That's what we're going to do, in Greensboro

Are you just footing the bill? Alcohol included?

My FH and I are still planning this but I think we are planning on grilling hamburgers and hotdogs at one of our condos (probably my moms since it is right next to the venue). I’m not sure if it is classy or appropriate. But we love grilling and I love the aspect of doing on our own thing and being more laid back and intimate.

I also love this idea! My fiancé is a HUGE “grill nerd” as I like to call it haha

Maybe try a more chill vibe with appetizers and a few cocktails instead of a full meal?

Hmmm The Pit downtown is a great Raleigh institution that isn’t super pricey. Not sure what budget you are looking to stay around! Obviously you could find cheaper bbq restaurants but the pit is a nicer atmosphere for a rehearsal dinner. Winston’s Grille is another Raleigh specific restaurant that is great and cheaper than angus barn, ect. I would look around downtown places and north hills as well! North hills is a great area with a lot of options.

I am paying for everything and I'll do a few pitchers of sangria. Enough for everyone to get 2 glasses but that's it

We did Casa Carbone off Glenwood Ave. My in-laws paid for it, but it was the most affirdable private dinner location they could find. I think it came in at $20 per person, with alcohol, but you can call about banquet menu and private room. Good luck!
