Rehearsal Dinner Ideas in Oklahoma City

Pearl, on May 1, 2018 at 4:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Does anyone have any ideas for good, low key, budget friendly places for a rehearsal dinner in Oklahoma City? Our first choice was going to be exorbitantly expensive, so we are looking at other options. I don't want anything too fancy or stuffy.

We rented the room at a local brewery and brought in food from elsewhere. It was super budget friendly. The only rental fee was the $300 beer minimum.

I’ve been to a rehearsal dinner at Empire Slice House in Oklahoma City on the patio.

    Cafe 7 Downtown

Bleu Garten or The Yard would be a really casual/fun place (if it's warm outside!)

^not sure how renting would work with these though, I'm sorry!

    Whiskey Cake

    Deep Deuce

    Zio's

    TapWerk's Ale House

Just a couple ideas, there are so many more places in OKC though! I don't know what you're first choice was, but I think wherever you pick will have to depend on the atmosphere you want and the type of food you want to eat!

Check Open Table. They have a list of restaurants with private rooms for most cities. You can search by location, number of guests, type of cuisine and budget.

I lived in the OKC area (Norman, specifically) for a very very brief time nearly a decade ago. I remember Fung's Kitchen on Classen Blvd being delicious, and the space is nice with a very open floor plan. I have NO idea if it's within budget, if Chinese is something you'd consider for your rehearsal dinner, or if they even rent the place out for events, but it's all I could think off. There was also a great sushi place I used to go to with my now-ex, but the space is pretty small and I can't for the life of me remember the name of it.

ETA: found it - Tokyo Japanese Restaurant. Still probably not an ideal place, though.

That's a fun idea! We are also considering McNellie's - it was where we had our first date, and where he proposed exactly 2 years later. Just worried it might be a little noisy.

We love Tokyo - but I suspect a fair amount of people in both our families wouldn't like sushi lol!
