We got his mom a jewelry box that was all blinged out, I thought it was cute...and we got his dad a hat that was all touristy bc they were going on a cruise after our wedding

We are doing a Lennox picture frame for both his mom and my parents. Just because if we do a different gift, his mother will assume my parents is nicer and throw a fit. What she doesn't know is because of all the help my parents have given us and continue to give us (paying for the wedding, helping me move) they are getting an additional gift that will be given when his mom is not paying attention at some point that day.

You could get them a gift certificate to a nice restaurant, which is something they could enjoy together. Best of luck!

A lot of couples give nice pictures frames and follow that up with a picture of the couple with the parents for the frame.

We've also seen jewelry for the mother and cuff links for the father (similar to what you would give your bridal party), engraved wine glasses with a bottle or two of wine, or a nice gift basket from an upscale establishment (Zingermans if you live in Ann Arbor ).

As of right now i'm having a necklace made for his mom; as for his dad i have no idea. for my parents... mom: want to get a double frame with one side containing my baby picture, the other side will eventually contain me as a bride. for my dad, dunno either.
