How much does a rehearsal dinner typically cost per person including alcohol and any rental fees or server charges if applicable? We're not looking for super fancy but feel like it's still too pricey and wondering if that's normal.

I think a good option is to just take everybody to a moderately priced restaurant in the area and pick up the tab at the end. The range of the cost of food will depend on where you take them. For example, going to Olive Garden will cost between $15-20 pp, or a nicer BBQ joint might be $12-15, or a cool local pizza place. I don't think there is any need to do anything fancy or super planned.

I feel you. I am having trouble with this too. My FMIL is paying and she told be to pick the place and stay around $20 a head. It's hard! I asked 3 old timer foodies at my work to give me suggestions. They took it up as like their mission in life lol. Use your resources..good luck!
