Registry on invites: Is it tacky?

So, my wedding is in 2 months and I’m working on the invites. I created a scan code to our registry that will automatically take our guests to our honeymoon fund but I’m afraid that it looks tacky since our venue is semi to formal dress code. 😅 Thoughts?

I’ll say this one more time: if you Google WEDDING ETIQUETTE EXPERTS WHO DO THIS FOR A LIVING, HALF OF THEM STATE THIS IS NOT AGAINST ETIQUETTE.

    You don't need to yell.

Again, you are incorrect. Google in general is not the best source of wedding etiquette, because it's written by people who go looking for the answer that they want (confirmation bias) vs the actual correct answer.

You don’t need to correct me either. Google is a tool, like a library, it’s not the source itself. Like I said, weddddinnnngggggg etiquette expertttttttssss are the ones saying this. Do your own research on changes to etiquette, because what people said in 1980 is not what we stick with for eternity. YOUR confirmation bias leads you to side with the ones saying one thing, and mine leads me to side with the ones stating the other. She asked for an opinion, and I gave mine, and it is backed by real resources whether you like them or not. Do not address me directly to argue with my opinion when someone is literally asking us for our opinions. Give your own opinion and leave me out of it.

Happily, but the one who screams loudest isn't always correct.

Every wedding I have ever invited to has listed the registry on the invitation. Its not the 1980s any more, no one has time to call around and ask where a couple is registered. And I know most engaged couples don't have time to tell 200 guests individually where they're registered lol. Yet most people still want to view a registry because giving cash feels impersonal.

I personally would link your website or registry and not JUST do the QR code- let's be honest most people over 50 aren't gonna bother scanning a QR code (i wouldn't even bother doing it myself and im in my 20s 😅)
