Reconfirming Rsvps

We are planning a DW in April. We’re super excited that so many of our close friends and family plan to join us. Most of the RSVPS we have so far we know are firm because we know they booked air and hotel through our travel agent. Is there a polite way to reconfirm those who said yes but haven’t booked travel? It’s possible they did it on their own but haven’t done it yet. I just don’t want to overcommit to the venue and get stuck paying for people who don’t show up.

Maybe just reach out and ask if they "need help" finding hotels, cars, flights etc. If they say oh no we already got it covered then you are all set!

Your wedding is still far enough away that they have plenty of time to book things. If they RSVP attending then I would count then as attending.

I have the same issue. Although our RSVP deadline isn’t until end of February (and our wedding while a DW is stateside). I’m planning on doing a follow up with non-close family/friends late March for our early April wedding. Maybe just a quick text like one PP mentioned seeing if they need any final trip help, etc.

I just had someone RSVP with a “maybe” I was like not how this works, but nice try! So yeah I feel like it will be necessary to reconfirm with some.
