Recommendations/ideas for First Dance Songs

Hi all,

Although my wedding isn’t until August 2021, I have started browsing music artists for songs for my first dance with my FH as well as songs for my dance with my dad.
Being from a big big family and second youngest, I am the first daughter getting married. My dad and I are really close and I’d like something thats classic but something that’s not overly played. This goes for the same for my dance with my FH too 🙂.
What’s the recommended length for songs for both dances? Thanks again!

My dad wants to do "I loved her first" for our song. I also like Camilla Cabello's new song, "First Man." My FH and I are going to dance to "Good Woman," by Maren Morris, although we're starting to think about changing it to "Beautiful Stranger // Finally," by Halsey.

How about my girl by the temptations, or dance with my father by luther and far as the lengths you can do the whole song or half... Far as 1st dance pick a song you both love that reminds yall of yall

Our first dance was 1 minute 30 seconds and both parent dances were 1 minute.
First Dance - On My Way to You by Cody Johnson
Father Daughter - Love and Happiness by Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris
Mother Son - It's Your Song by Garth Brooks

Thank you all! I’ve listened to all of these already. Loved her First by Hesrtland was already on my list!

If I do end up finding a song and it’s over 2:30 minutes what’s the best way to shorten in? Thanks again!

Father/Daughter- My little girl by Tim McGraw
First dance- She thinks she needs me by Andy Griggs
First dance was a hard one to decide on. We were stuck between the one we chose, on my way to you (Cody Johnson), who i am with you (Chris Young), and the good ones (Gabby Barrett)Still waiting on FH to pick a song to dance with his mother to haha
