Reception start & end time

What time is your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception starting? When are you ending the reception? I'm wondering if I should extend my reception a bit but I'm unsure. What are you all doing?

    Catholic Ceremony 1-2:30pm

    Photos 2:30 - 4 pm

    Receptions: 5 - 10:30pm

There is some traveling for bridal party photos. The town our reception is located in has many things to see and do, so our guests will be able to find something that interests them.

Also since the reception is at a local park so the DJ has to shut down by 10:30 pm due to a noise restriction.

    Ceremony: 2:30

    Reception: 5:00

    End: 9:00

Most of our guests are older so that's late enough. We might extend our time with those who aren't tired by going to the hotel bar. We will have the meet at the hotel bar announced before the last dance.

We get the space for 5 hours including ceremony and cocktail hour, so starting probably at 5, cocktail hour 5:30-6:30, dinner and cake done by 8 for the older folks, then dancing til 10. Then we go hang out at the onsite cottages for a chill afterparty.

When you think that most guests have something planned for the morning, then spend from 2pm on getting ready, getting to or participating in the wedding, that's a lonnnnng day once they get back to their hotels around 10:30-11.

    5:30pm ceremony

    6-7 cocktail hour

    7-10 dinner and dancing reception

If we add another hour, it's going to be at least $1,000 more...so we may just go to a local bar if we want at the end. I'm kind of sad it seems so short though. My venue seems to really nickel and dime you.
