Reception Shoes?

Emily , on November 15, 2017 at 10:30 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 35

Good morning girls! I'm wondering how many of you are wearing different shoes for the ceremony and reception. I would like to wear heels during the ceremony, but I want to be comfortable during the reception. My question is:

Which type of heels/shoes are you wearing for your ceremony and reception?

There are also guys and non-binary folks on here too Smiley smile i wore flats for the ceremony and reception because i am not a heels person, but changed into flip flops after dinner. you can always find yourself a nice pair of fancy flats for the reception. mine were from J Crew.

I am on the opposite side of this...barefoot for the ceremony, but a pair of killer heels for the reception.

I wore dressy open toe wedges for the ceremony and changed into gold converse for the reception. My wedges were comfortable but I was worried that someone would step on my feet once the drinking and shenanigans started, and, they did.

ETA: My husband changed into powder blue suede slip on Vans.

As much as I loved my BHLDN shoes, I also changed into Toms for the reception.

I'm wearing simple flats for the ceremony, but we decided not long into the engagement to change into our converses for the reception. I bought his a couple years ago (customized with his last name, which is also what a lot of people call him), and he bought mine after we decided to do this (customized with my soon-to-be last name).

I'm also going barefoot for the ceremony but will probably have moccasins or flats around for the reception

I'm wearing white time as well for the reception! We did it for my sisters wedding (bridesmaids got a different color) and it was a huge hit!

I wore cute little heels for the ceremony, kicked them off and went barefoot for the tail end of cocktail hour (because I am a klassy lady, lol), put them back on to do our first dance, then put on my red Converse for the rest of the night.

Not totally sure yet but I know I will have two different pairs. I'm thinking something white, elegant, heels for ceremony - and then for the reception I have been looking at kate spade glitter shoes - but since my colors are black, white, & magenta I might lean to some magenta/fuchsia heels or something

I wore a pretty pair of sparkly, four inch Betsey Johnson heels for the ceremony. Honestly, as soon as I had my second shot of tequila, I took my heels off and went barefoot. And I stayed that way for the whole reception. Nobody noticed and nobody minded. On the way to our after party, one of H’s friends and I had our Uber driver stop at Walgreens so we could get cheap sandals. It was perfect.

I'll be wearing heels for the ceremony and pics. I hate heels but FH is over a foot taller than me. I'll definitely be changing into flip flops for the reception though

I am wearing barefoot sandals for the ceremony (on the beach), and the heels for as long as I can stand them at the reception, then will switch to something cozy (maybe the slippers pictured). Haven't quite decided yet on that last one.
