Reception Playlist Suggestions

Hi Ladies! We're getting down to the wire and I need to submit my finalized playlist to my DJ by Friday 5/7 (low-key freaking out over here). As far as all the special dances (father daughter, first dance, cake cutting, etc.), we're good to go. HOWEVER, I am struggling to come up with a killer playlist that everyone will love and that will keep the party going for the dance portion. What are some of your favorite wedding/club/dance songs that makes you want to get up and dance? Keep in mind, that there will be parents and grandparents attending so I'm trying to avoid anything too vulgar lol. Thanks in advance for your help!! Smiley heart

    If you go on Spotify or pandora they have some great pre done playlists that you can steal songs from. That’s what we did!

    I would let your DJ decide. We only picked songs for the special moments. We left the rest up to our DJ since he is a professional and would know better than us what would work.

    This is kind of what I've been thinking. His whole career is literally wedding and party DJ-ing. I'm sure his playlists are way better than mine lol

    I would add one or two songs you know your friends love to sing and dance to, just as fun throwbacks, and leave the rest to the DJ to pick. Looking through YouTube video compilations for top hits from each decade might spark some memories from high school or other important times in your life that you want to tie in.

    Our DJ told us to choose the songs for our special moments such as the reception grand entrance, first dance, cake cutting etc. He also said to choose 10-15 of our favorite songs that would be on our MUST play list. After that, he said "I got you." So maybe just pick some of your favs together that you love dancing to & let him take care of the rest. Smiley smile
