Reception order of events

That’s exactly what we did! We had dinner in the garden area of a winery. We did toasts in between courses. Then we all moved into the barrel room and we did our first dance followed by parent dances then opened up the dance floor.

That's what we are planning on doing. It flows better, people will be fed, and the first dance brings in the rest of the night for dancing.

This sounds like an awesome idea, Lindsay!! I agree with OnCloudRawls in that if you wanna dance as much as I do at weddings, you're gonna need to be fed. Then the first dance starts the dancing part of the evening, just like both OnCloudRawls and Kelly suggested.

Is the cocktail hour going to be inside or outside?

Hey Lindsay! Having dinner outside in a meadow sounds so beautiful!! I think it's totally fine to have dinner and toasts first then transition inside for the dancing! Are you having desserts inside as well? It's nice to be able to feed your guests before the dancing begins!
