Reception Music

Kayla, on July 8, 2019 at 11:06 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 11

I have been going back and forth about this idea in an opinion. I was going to include in the RSVP a place to pick a song each guest likes to try play them during the reception. Is this a good idea or is that too much

I love the idea, but its hard enough just getting people to RSVP haha. I say it doesn't hurt to add it and if they don't want to fill it out then no big deal.

I agree with Allie! I feel like that'd be a nice touch

Thank you so much for the advice. I am just trying to make people fill a little involved and my FH family and my family like different music so I was trying to get opinions on music. That way everyone has a good time

If you have the WeddingWire wedding website, you can have guests leave it in the notes of their RSVP

I think it's a good idea personally because I don't want to think of all the songs to play. That's too much stress for me lol. I am even letting them suggest a song or two since maybe couples have more than one song in mind or a family might have more than one!

I think it's cute, I see that a lot on RSVP cards and on wedding websites

Thank you everyone this has been so helpful. I feel better about making this decision. I keep double guessing like all my decisions and I ask my FH and he puts his input sometimes. Most of the time says whatever is going to make you happy lol

It's a fun idea. We didn't have room on ours so we included it on the website. I also asked my girls directly as I knew they would most likely join me on the dancefloor.

I'm doing that. We won't be having our DJ take requests at the reception, so this is their chance to make a request. If they don't... 🤷🏻‍♀️ not my problem. We're doing online RSVP with the option of texting/calling for those who can't.

Should mention - switched to a joy wedding website and it actually allows me to add in a song request for the RSVP.

I did that! It's nice because some guests really do appreciate it when their song is played and it helps diversify for your playlist
