Reception linens and centerpieces

Bri, on October 26, 2020 at 10:11 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11
Hi!

We had a consultation for rentals this weekend for our reception decor. I always thought I'd do white linens, but we put together this table as an example. What do you guys think about the colored linens? Is it too much?? Obviously the tables won't actually be that tall haha! Our reception is in a wood barn!Reception linens and centerpieces 1

I think it's beautiful! I love the contrasting table linens.

The pattern is nice, yet neutrals make it flexble to add different colors in different places. A good choice in table linens.

It’s nice. Personally I prefer neutrals for linens and then add color with napkins, centerpieces, greenery, etc.

I like the green tablecloth color, but I’m not a huge fan of the sheer leaf overlay on top. For a barn, I think I’d like it better if it was just a runner. Or perhaps every table doesn’t get an overlay. Where some tables only have the green tablecloth while alternating tables have the leaf overlay.

I think it looks nice. I would just keep your table décor pretty simple since the table linens are patterned.

I think it's very soft and pretty with the overlay, but agree with a pp about then limiting the amount of décor on the table. I'm not sure if the first picture was just various options you were considering, but I wouldn't do a lantern and the geometric objects and loose flowers -- that seems like too much to me. With the overlay, I'd just do a simple white vase and some pretty blush/pastel flowers or the lantern with some flowers. Sometimes less really is more and will have a bigger visual impact. If you're set on a bunch of different objects for the centerpiece, I'd probably skip the overlay.
