Reception late night snacks?

K, on April 16, 2020 at 1:00 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 9
Is anybody or did anybody have late night snacks for the end of their reception?
If so, what was the food and what was the feedback? Would you recommend? Thanks!!

We had late night snacks at our afterparty. We had mini corndogs, different sliders, wings, fries, onion rings, quesadillas, and other finger foods. I also hired an ice cream truck.

People loved it especially after all the drinking from the cocktail hour and reception plus the additional drinking at the afterparty. We basically had an open bar for 9 hours straight so we knew we had to feed our guests at the afterparty.

Awesome thanks for the input! We will be having an open bar for about five hours so i figured a small version of this would be the least we could do. The onion rings sound amazing!

    No problem! Smiley smile

Yeah, thankfully our afterparty was at the resort’s restaurant so people could just easily walk to their rooms, but the food options nearby were limited and most closed by the time the afterparty ended so we didn’t want our guests to have to deal with the hassle of trying to get their late-night munchies fix.

We didn’t have a late night snack, but as a guest, I always enjoy something savory for a late night snack opposed to something sweet. I also think it’s neat to use local restaurants or dishes. For example, we live in the Cincinnati area so lots of people serve Cincinnati chili for a late night snack, that could be something different for out of town guests.

My FH and I were talking about making getting popcorn and pretzels so our guests can eat it on the go if they want. You can also make really cute corny bags, for the pretzel we were thinking “we tied the knot”. It’s super cute and easy.

Those all sounds delicious! As a guest, I would have loved all your protein options. 😋

My husband really wanted the wings and I really wanted the corn dog. Haha

Weirdly enough, I was on such a wedding high that I barely ate any food, drank tons and still didn’t get drunk. haha
