Reception flip flops !

christine, on May 24, 2018 at 3:45 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 16

Anyone have any suggestions on where to buy at least 125 pairs of flip flops for guests who's feet hurt from too much dancing ! I was looking on Old Navy, but was trying to make them a little more special without breaking the bank !! thanks

I know Dollar Store online sells them. That's where I'm getting mine from. I figured people are going to toss them or leave them anyway.

Walmart has ones for $1 I think! I don't think people will mind if they are cheap, it's nice just to have them. You could tie a bow matching your colors onto the $1 ones?

I purchased from Dollar Tree, took the ugly hangers off, printed out Avery tags (matching my theme and with the sizes written on them) and used the tag with a cute ribbon to keep each pair together. I placed them on baskets (one for males one for females) and had it at both ceremony (on the beach) and reception.

I have just 3 or 4 pairs left over. I saw people wearing it for the whole long weekend (was a destination wedding).

I got mine last year from Old Navy when they were having their $1 sale, not sure how much more you want to spend but they aren't bad flip flops!

Old Navy $$ sale or Wal-Mart for $1 & then decorate them with lil rhinestones, glitter, etc.

Wait for the old Navy sale this summer and then buy a bunch and then bedazzle them with supplies from Michaels. Old Navys quality is a lot better, and it would mean those guests would probably keep them after. Dollar tree flip flops wouldn't last an hour with me.

Thank you for reminding me to order my flip flops! I bought myself a pair of the dollar tree ones and I think that they're fine. They aren't as nice as the Old Navy ones but I don't want to deal with the limit per person that old navy places on the flip flops when they go on sale.

Either way, I don't think you should spend more than a dollar a pair. Most of the guests won't be looking for high quality sandals.

I think go as cheap as you can (dollar store or Walmart) and add the personal touch by trying a ribbon around then or dressing up there basket you display them in. Saves money and the headache if teaching down a particular shoe!

...have you thought about just doing socks??? I only suggest this because the sentiment is great but people have varying sized feet and that many people is going to be a wide difference! Whereas socks are pretty good at being one size fits all (since they stretch)

Unless of course this is outdoors and they need something more than socks Or if you've asked for sizes lol

Thanks all !! The old navy sale is coming up but limits 5 pair per customer ! Time to round up the troops !! I actually have a dollar tree and walmart not far from me at all, I will check those out too !!

( ps. I once got glass in my foot from going barefoot at a wedding, wound up in hospital to have it removed same night, will never go shoe less again !! ) LOL

If you live near a Primark they sell flip flops for 90 cents I think... they only had a few colors so I would have had to mix and match or go all white, so I did all white!

Yes, Primark!! I got my flip flops there last weekend. They’re 90 cents a pair, i got 30 for $27. Definitely didn’t have enough of each color for all of them to be the same, but I got navy and gold to go with our wedding colors. The only thing about Primark though is you can’t order online, and they only have stores in the US right now in MA, NY, PA, CT and NJ. But this is the cheapest I have seen flip flops since I started looking!
