Reception Extras

Oh goodness it seems like you are all over it! The only thing I can't see on the list is a wishing well/card box.

Nearly all of those are optional and many people skip most of them.


The only ones that are required are escort cards, table numbers and use a knife from the venue’s kitchen to cut the cake. Skip the rest and no one will miss them, especially if you are on a budget.

These are items I am choosing to include in my reception, and they all fit into my budget. Just because something is optional doesn't mean it should automatically be skipped. I was curious what items others are including, and whether I overlooked anything that I should consider.

Small sewing kit, safety pins, tide to go (or some similar travel size spot remover)

Maybe a mini emergency wedding kit? They sell these at David's Bridal. Inside I think there's like safety pins, hair pins, hair ties, mini sewing kit, etc. Maybe even some medicine on hand in case like tylenol or even some allergy pills. Oh, and maybe flats if you are planning to change out of your wedding shoes (if you are wearing heels)? Another that I can think of is a portable phone charger. I had to charge my phone at least once during my wedding day lol.

But other than that you pretty much have it all!

If you’re having a photo booth, you may want your own backdrop and props.

Kind of going back and forth on whether to do a photo booth, so I'll add the props to the list just in case we decide to do one. Thank you for your feedback!!
