Reception Entrance

Samantha, on April 3, 2020 at 4:01 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14
Hey everyone!
My SO and I aren’t really dancers, so we are trying to figure out alternate ways to make our grand entrance. I have attached a photo of the hall, we won’t have as many people and there will be a bit more of a lane between the tables. Any ideas?

I would just walk in, wave, and smile. My husband tried to have me do some fancy dance move that really didn't work.

I don’t see a lot of people enter dancing! Just okay a fun song and walk holding hands to the table.

I agree with the others. Just walk in together and don’t dance.

Walk in holding hands. If you have a good MC they will hype the crowd to applaud you guys as you make your way in no need to dance. although we are dancers and will be putting on a show lol

I've been to weddings where the party dances but the bride and groom just walk in maybe a kiss or holding hands and happy! Don't feel pressured to put on a show. It's totally your day!

Walk in holding hands or raise your hand in the air! You don't need to do a choreographed dance. Unless you are REALLY good dancers they always seem awkward to me anyway.

You do whatever your heart's desire! You both can just walk, smile and wave! Maybe a little bouquet wave and keep it moving!

The groomsmen are having swords, the bridesmaids are having wands. They are forming an arch with them for us to walk in under. Super excited!

Love your venue. The walk in and wave option is great. Or maybe you guys could do a slide show of pictures of the two of you leading up to the big day!

That is a cool idea! Wow--and what a great photo moment!

I generally agree with others--walk in, hold hands and wave, and keep the space tight. Going down aisles or under arches leaves no room for dancing, and honestly no one expects you to.

Most couples walk in holding hands, no fanfare, and everyone waits for them to be introduced, then claps . Some dance in, and are spectacular. Some try to dance in, and shouldn't have. You recognize that you are not dancers, so walk in. Everyone is there to see you, no frills is fine. Give them their first close up look of your wedding finery for a minute, and smile. That is enough.
