Reception entrance...not sure what to do

I have no idea what song or what we want to do for our reception entrance. FH and I are not “look at me” type people and every reception entrance I’ve seen are these huge build up music and lights flashing entrances. Like athletes coming out the tunnel! Lol For me personally that would be completely embarrassing! Any other ideas or more subdued songs to enter to? (We do not have a bridal party so it’s just us). Also did/are most of you doing your first dance then or after dinner? The “first dance” will be the only official dance. We are talking to our dj soon about these things so need to make decisions!

We're going straight into our first dance after our entrance, so the song will be our first dance song which is slow. I think doing it that way would be a good idea for you and your FH!

I'd just have them introduce you right into your first dance! Nothing crazy, just a "Please welcome the new Mr. & Mrs.!" into your first dance song.

We were just simply announced into the reception “welcome Mr and Mrs...” with no music or anything, and then went into our first dance.

We were actually supposed to just sit down after our entrance and do toasts, but the emcee messed up the order 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

My husband is a motorcycle rider, we came into the beginning of Kick Start my love by Motley Crew - it's just a motorcycle revving our MC introduced us and we went right into dances. I would choose something sweet if you want a more subdued entrance or no music at all if you want to just be announced. Or honestly skip the whole thing walk in with your guests and just do the dances. It's your wedding! Do what makes you comfortable.

Our entrance song was Pizza Day by the Aquabats. Definitely not a standard choice but perfect for us.
We did our first dance right after our entrance. I think the flow is better that way, but I've been to weddings where the first dance was later in the timeline.

My hubby and I are cubs fans so we will have some sort of intro that leans toward that.. but it will be more, please stand up for the new Mr & Mrs

I guess I am the odd ball out here- we are being introduced at the end of cocktail hour so we have 15 minutes of drink/social time with our guests. FH and I are the same- not crazy about all eyes on us so a drink immediately after being announced will be perfect for us.
Our first dance won't be until after dinner- just FH and I are doing a dance and the dance floor will open up immediately after that. We wanted some sunset in our first dance pics since our backdrop is the beach. Feel like this way works best for us since our first dance will immediately transition into getting the party started.
Do whatever makes you comfortable!

We are having us and the whole wedding party introduced. We are using Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" for that. We thought this would be a really fun song to introduce everyone with. My fiance and I will be introduced last and then go right into our first dance.
