Reception Entrance for Parents

Hey all!


I need some suggestions for songs for our parents to walk into the reception to. his parents and my parents are technically different generations so it's kind of hard to ask them their favorite songs. Some common fun songs from 90s and below would probably be ideal but not necessary. I'm drawing a blank. All I've got is some Stevie Wonder, the Beatles and all the for lack of a better word "basic" or overused wedding songs like Bruno mars and Pharell Williams Happy. I feel like the songs I can think of aren't the right ones.

    We're doing Dancing in September by Earth Wind in Fire because it was my parents' song when they were dating.

    Check youtube for reception entrance songs! There are tons from all generations

    Honestly, we told our DJ to just play whatever for our parents and he picked Marvin Gaye's How Sweet It Is so we're going with that!

    I didn’t think parents did an “entrance” but if you want it, just ask your parents what they want. How much of an age difference can their be between your sets of parents? Even if there is a difference, it doesn’t mean they don’t like similar music. I’m 57 and I love The Rolling Stones, Macklemore, Adele, Flo Rida, Imagine Dragons and Stevie Wonder.

    I think you should ask your parents. I think most things by The Beatles could be fun reception entrance songs, but if your parents don't like them then what's the point? haha

    What song did you end up using for the parents?! I feel like September by Earth, Wind, and Fire is my go-to when I'm unsure about a song! It's such a universal, fun song!

    Do you have any pictures from your wedding that you'd be willing to share?! I'd love to see how perfect you two looked!!
