Reception dress..

Aleah, on October 11, 2019 at 2:35 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
I have purchased 2 dresses, and one outfit from cheap stores to wear at the reception. I keep changing my mind, and not liking them, they’re a huge downgrade from my ball gown and I wanted something much better. So I went to every dress shop within an hour of my home and still couldnt find something perfect. But I did find a dress I liked the look of, but it needs to be taken in around the waist/ possibly hemmed and I really want more of a fluff to it, like an A line dress just because I don’t wear snug dresses due to my belly sticking out(ugh) and I want to find a sash. I’m talking to a family friend that alters dresses on the side so that it won’t be expensive but I don’t know if it’s even possible to fix. What do you guys think? I am holding the dress back in the picture with my leg out because it’s loose. Ps ignore the “I’m too fat” writing also, I was sending pictures to my mom while trying several dresses on lol. And the other picture is showing how it shows my belly which I can’t stand. It shows how loose it is around the waist, my waist is smaller than the rest of me and that’s pretty much the only thing I have going for me as far as looks go lol. So I want it to be flattered.

That is a super cool dress. I love the top! If you think it's in your budget to get it altered how you want, then totally go for it!

I think it's a beautiful dress. If you're self conscious about the belly area (girl we all are), you could wear spanx or a corset bra underneath! I was amazed how flat a corset bra made my stomach look.

Why don’t you just stay in your wedding dress since you prefer the quality of it so much more? I mean we spend decent money on our wedding dresses so why not wear them as long as possible? I’ve had some friends get married in ballgowns and they still danced the night away in them. Just a thought.

I definitely would and might. It’s an outdoor wedding and is supposed to be 75 out and sunny, I just don’t want to sweat like a pig LOL
