I’m going to wear this in my wedding ceremony and I was wondering if it would work for the reception as well

Absolutely! While I’ve seen a lot of people online post about a second reception dress, I’ve never been to a wedding where the bride changed out of her ceremony dress into a different outfit.

That’s only something you can answer. If it’s tailored appropriately, I don’t see why not? Also depends on how you dance. Try moving around in the dress and see how it feels. I had a fit and flare dress which I danced in just fine.

You can keep a dress handy, perhaps one for a bridal shower or wedding rehearsal, you could change in middle of the reception if you eventually decide your wedding dress is holding you back on the dance floor.

Try it on and see how it feels when you do things like bend down, sit, dance, etc. That will give you a better idea of if you need a second dress.
