I'm guessing before you are introduced at the reception? But I'm wearing one dress throughout, so I guess I'm not sure. I thought I knew the answer to your question, but is there another time to do it?

I'm changing into mine after dinner. I spent a lot of money on my gown so I want to wear it as long as possible, but I know I won't be comfortable dancing in mine.

So, I'm thinking of dancing 2 or 3 songs in my first dress then changing into my "party dress" after that. This way I still get plenty of photos of me in my gown but I still get to wear the second dress for a while too.

We escorted our guests to cocktail hour, grabbed a drink, and while everyone drank & nibbled on appetizers we ducked out to change. We still had about 20 minutes when we returned until dinner which gave us plenty of time to socialize with guests (we only had 15).

I'm finding time in between events where I can slip away unnoticed and do a quick outfit change. Our reception timeline is this: grand entrance, first dance, welcome toast + blessing, buffet opens + table rounds, MOH and BM toast, sunset photos, parent dances, thank you toast + cake cutting. After the cake cutting, we're going to announce our dessert bar is open, at that point I'm going to slip away to do an outfit change. Once I get back is when we're going to transition to the dancing portion of the night.
