Reception dress?

Rita, on June 11, 2019 at 8:22 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
I have a big ball gown dress for my ceremony but would love to switch into a reception dress as I would love to dance and have fun. I already purchased the reception dress but my m.i.l is thinking it’ll be too much ( as in to much of a diva) any ideas on what to do?

If it's what you want to do, then do it. Simple as that. Lots of people do it.

I don't think it'll be too much to change ! In fact I think it's a good idea, especially if your wedding dress is large, changing into something slimmer would be you could move around much better.

I’m thinking of doing the same thing, I’m so concerned my dress will be too heavy to really be able to enjoy dancing in! I’m considering g finding a dress that is lighter weight, and easier to dance in but relatively inexpensive that I can have as a backup if I want it.

I'ts not FMILs call. It's yours. If it's what you want, and you love the dress, go for it!!!! FMIL can think whatever she wants, this is your wedding. Don't let her determine what you will wear.

Do what you want! Personally when I tried on big ball gowns (which weren't many) or just dresses that were very heavy I said I can't imagine dancing in this all night! You'll be way more comfortable dancing not in your ball gown!

For my first wedding I had a large, heavy ball gown and it was very humid the day of the wedding. About half way through the reception, I felt like I was dying in it and changed into another dress I bought just in case. Best idea ever! This time around, I have a lot less dress but the wedding is in the middle of August so I'm thinking of getting a second dress again just in case. It's your wedding and you should do what makes you comfortable!

Do exactly what.you.want.to.do. It's YOUR wedding! Who cares what anyone else thinks? Just focus on being beautiful in the one or 50 dresses you chose to wear that day!

Not a diva at all. You're not pushing bridezilla and it seems a good idea to me. Run with it.
