Reception dress change??!

Okay so I’m thinking that I possibly want to change dresses at the reception. I work at a bridal store so having 2 dresses with not break the bank for me. I want a big ballgown for my main dress. I want to feel like a princess walking down the aisle. I would leave this dress on through dinner, dances, and then change before cake cutting. I haven’t said yes to any dress yet and I’m wondering what everyone thinks! Let me know pros & cons. Did you do it & love it? Regret it?     I didn't do this, but I originally wanted to. However, I loved my dress so much that I didn't want to change out of it. I also couldn't see spending the money on a dress only to change out of it at the reception. I didn't want the hassle of changing either. My dress was a corset so someone would have had to help me out of it. I did have a second dress for the after party which was at a bar because I didn't want to wear my ballgown to a bar.

    On first glance they don’t look that much different! If you’re going to change, I would make it more obvious!

    I absolutely love the first dress. I will be wearing the same dress all day because I want to also feel like a princess Smiley smile

    I was just telling my fiancé the same thing!! This is my second wedding and first time around I wish I had. Even though my dress had something that detached it wasn’t enough and I listened to everyone else instead of my own instincts and was miserable by end of the night. This time I’m doing two dresses and will change after the bridal party dance.

    I love the first dress, it reminds me of Aurora from Disney's animated classic Sleeping Beauty.

    I really wanted two dresses also! I ended up buying a very fitted sheath dress and getting a detachable ballgown. I’m going to wear the ballgown for the ceremony and father daughter dances then change for our first dance! I’m sooo excited

    Why not? If you have the budget, go for it. I LOVE, LOVE #1 on you!!!! I think could could do better than #2.

    I love the first dress, it's so beautiful. The second one is too, but I agree with PP's that while they're definitely different dresses, people probably wouldn't hardly notice you had changed.

    This might have just solidified my decision to change at some point during the reception!!! My dress is absolutely amazing and I love it BUT I will def be uncomfortable especially dancing and moving around

    I have no opinion, as I will not be doing this, but just dropped in to tell you that dress #1 is GORGEOUS! Smiley heart So unique, and drop dead gorgeous.
