Reception dinner, No ceremony

Victoria, on October 6, 2019 at 8:29 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
Hi! I’m getting married in March 2020 and just wanted some feedback.

Has anyone done just a reception dinner, no ceremony?

I am planning on getting married at the courthouse and having a “wedding celebration dinner” and was wondering if anyone else has done this and how it went.

I wanted to have it held at a nice restaurant, do the cake, speeches (no dance floor). I was recommended to play a couple fun games and give some gift card/prizes during the dinner.

any feedback? What do you think about it?

I don’t think the games and prizes are necessary, that feels shower-y to me, but including your friends and family in a dinner celebration would be nice.

I’d skip the games, but rest sounds great!
