Allie, on November 9, 2018 at 11:04 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 11

How much are you spending per person for your reception? Where are you located and what is included in the total meal and beverage cost?

Food and drink cost was $189pp. We had a cocktail hour with 3 passed appetizers and a cheese and charcuterie station, a 3 course plated dinner, and a dessert station with 3 different desserts during dancing. For alcohol we had beer and wine. The open bar was $55pp and food cost was $134pp. It was at a winery with the wine averaging $40-$70 per bottle though so not serving cheap wine. Located in Carmel, California.

We are doing destination (Curacao) so only about 20 people. Spending about $250/pp. Since it is small we could afford to make it extra nice. Includes 5 course meal with wine pairing and a full open bar.

5 butlered hors d'oeurves (sp?) Plus veggie trays/cheese trays at cocktail hour
Fruit course, salads course, 3 entrees & 2 sides for the buffet. Our cake and assorted desserts are included.
We also opted for an additional mashed potato bar!
Our alcohol will be open wine/beer plus soda.
All of that (plus other non food perks) is costing us $72/pp.

    Sweet Jesus,
I live in Ohio and I knew I got a deal but now I see I got a great deal. I'm also having a Sunday wedding which cut prices but 40pp including food, 3 hors d'oeuvres, unlimuted beer and wine. But the package included all decor of my choice, including chairs cover, table linen, centerpieces, uplighting , cake cutting, napkins, china, etc.(except flowers), set up and take down.

Food and drink came to $24/pp. We provided appetizers ourselves by buying cheese, crackers, veggies, and dip through Costco. We also provided our own drinks (water, soda, White Claw, Mike's Hard, Summit IPA, Coors Light, Budweiser, and various Leinenkeugel's) which we put into 100gal. galvanized tubs for people to grab as they wished, and various wines they could serve themselves. Dinner was a 2 meat 2 side buffet through Famous Dave's. Cake was from a local bakery.

This was 45 minutes outside of the Twin Cities in MN.

The minimum in food and beverage for us is $110 per guest plus taxes and gratuity. It came to a bit under $200 at the end. We have four passes apps, charcuterie, choice of entree and bar. The wedding will be in Easton MD this Friday.

So Cal county club type venue (with a $5000 off-season discount...) for a Saturday night in January: $162.00 pp (including tax, service charge, and tips, but not including other venue costs [ceremony space, etc.] & upgrades [chairs, chargers, etc.], with those, it's closer to $180 pp...). Includes 6 hrs premium bar, butler passed hor d'oeurves, plated three-course dinner (duet filet mignon & chicken entree), etc. It's going to be very nice, but for the area it is definitely not over-the-top.
