We were originally going to have the ceremony on Thursday September 26th and the reception on Saturday the 28th. This was just due to timing and financially better on us having it at a family members home, however due to my dad having back surgery and being that he was the cook and travel from Nebraska to Texas, it would be too much stress on his body and health, plus we originally just wanted to ceremony and to go have a nice dinner and then go downtown and party! I cant tell you ladies and gentlemen how stress free we feel about this! Best decision ever!
Included a picture of invitation. And yes everyone has been informed of this change.

Hi Jessica. I'm someone who got a lot of help from these forums when planning my wedding. From time to time, I still check out the boards. I ran across your post and just wanted to comment because you may not be aware but a reception is for your guests, not you. You need to treat your guests to a meal somehow after your ceremony. You can take them to a restaurant, but you need to pay for them.

You could do a simple cake and punch reception to thank your guests for attending your ceremony

Yes ladies all this is all ready in the works. We are making reservations at a bbq place near the ceremony, and cake is still being made. To bring with us. Plus the bbq place is byob and FH works at a liquor store so hes able to get his discount which saves us right there as well. 😊🤗

I'm so glad you were able to make something happen that works out for you better than originally planned! I can definitely see how that would have been super stressful, but your new reception sounds like so much fun!
