Reception beverages

Emma, on September 4, 2020 at 12:04 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 19
What are you guys planning to have in addition to alcohol at your reception? I was thinking to just have canned sodas (diet and regular) and water bottles.

I was originally thinking lemonade and tea, but i rather people not have to keep touching the same thing. This way they can grab a can/bottle and go. We will have tea firming dinner though!

Punch maybe? Lemonade and sweet tea.

Other ideas include: mocktails (tons of recipes online), espresso/coffee with flavored creamers, sparkling cider or grape juice for toasts. Hot cider/cocoa bar. The sky is the limit.

True your wedding is soon so I would do the same! I am hoping things will have calmed down a bit by the dime of my wedding so that won't be an issue!

I don't drink soda so it would be nice if you offered lemonade. You can get cans of lemonade.

Does your venue have a bartender/server serving beverages or is it all pre-packaged in cans/bottles?

They should be able to prepare and serve nonalcoholic drinks as well and still keep in line with safety measures.

We are having a dry wedding (I'm not 21 yet and our families don't drink enough to spend $ on it lol) We are having a lemonade bar for our "cocktail" hour with different Torani syrups to mix and make your own flavors! We will also have water. Not sure if we will have a third choice, our reception will be only 2 hours long

Yes to tea! When I'm not drinking, tea is my go-to, and I think it's pretty simple to add on.

In addition to some of the options other listed we are also doing apple cider since we are getting married in the fall. Depending on what the weather is expected to be on the day we will either serve it warm or cold. And the caterer said we could have cute items like cinnamon sticks people can add.

Cranberry Juice and OJ? Great for non-drinkers, those who want to mix with vodka or champagne, and nice to have juice on hand for diabetics (if their sugar runs low).
