Reception and Dance Timeline

Erica, on January 15, 2020 at 8:57 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
I want to make the most of our day. I’ve decided to start our wedding ceremony at 3 pm and our wedding ending at 10 pm. Our ceremony and reception will be in the same location and have about 50 guest.

Since we are not doing the first look, we make need a little more time for our cocktail hour to take photos so we anticipate about 80 minutes. Following our dinner and dance, during the dance we will have our first dance, thank you speech, sunset dance, toast and cake. We’ve allocated 4 hours for the dance.
Did we allocate a lot of time for the dance?

You can always take some pictures before the ceremony that don't include the first look. I'm doing this for our wedding and it'll basically be every combination of people that doesn't involve FH and I seeing each other. So him and his groomsmen, him and his family, me and my bridesmaids, me and my family, first look with my dad, etc.

4 hours should be plenty of time for dancing.

Hey there, Erica! Four hours sounds like plenty of time!

Amber had a great point, you can definitely try to do photos before the ceremony that doesn’t include both you and your FS such as family portraits, etc.
