Reasonable price for catering

We have got plates table linens and all other necessities already

No matter what - make sure you get a taste test of the whole menu before you sign that contract. Word of mouth is just not reliable in this situation.

So who are you hiring to serve the food and how much does that cost?

I think ours is about $38 pp. $10 for children & vendors.

Depends on the food. I would obviously pay way more for steak and lobster than pasta - but both of fine catered food choices

We're paying $34/person for our food. I'm buying the alcohol myself, and I'm not sure how much I'm buying yet.

In CT we are paying around $120-$125 for 5.5 hours of open bar, champagne toast, hors d'oeuvres, pasta station, four course plated meal (includes filet mignon as an option), and tax/gratuity. That includes a $10 discount for a Friday night.
