Real or fake? Flowers

Jr, on July 23, 2019 at 5:55 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 19
Flowers? Fake or real? My mother has been to floral design classes and can do whatever I want.. just wondering what everyone thought about the debate of fake or real?

I went with fake because it's cheaper aha. But either or would look fine. Some people do a combo of both too

If you can afford it without the stress of your mom designing the day before, I'd go real.

Real flowers make the space look so much more elegant.

I prefer real flowers. They are prettier and smell so good. I personally think fake flowers look cheap and I just don’t like the fake look.

I already spent money on silk flowers and made bouquets and bouts. My venue provides centerpieces with fresh flowers and now with 3 months to go Im really wanting real flowers for our bouquets, too. Im planning on ordering from sams club and my mom, too said she would make them.
You just can't beat real flowers....just cant.

I am using both. My venue provides flowers for the reception but I am using real flowers for the ceremony. i am also using real flowers to enhance the flowers that the venue provides me for the reception. Both are beautiful and it is what you prefer to have at your wedding.

I chose to do half and half! I bought a bunch of fake flowers on mega sale at Hobby Lobby for my ceremony and venue decor. I also used fake flowers for my flower girls’ flower crowns and the men’s boutonnières.

I then chose to do real petals for my centerpieces (will be blush petals instead of the red, this is my inspo pic), and the moms’ corsages and the bouquets. For those I ordered bulk flowers from fifty flowers and my girls and I will be putting them together the day before! (Included photos of my bouquet inspo!)

If your budget can afford real flowers, then go real. The only time fake flowers don't look fake is when you buy the highest quality and they cost as much or more as real flowers. If a person has allergies to flowers, that makes sense. Otherwise, real is preferred.

I personally prefer the look and feel of real flowers. Our florist quoted us $600 for my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, 3 wrist corsages, and cake flowers. To save more money we opted for flowerless centerpieces.

I love love love fresh flowers. I always have a bouquet in my home. So, obviously going with real flowers. To supplement I made a dozen dried lavender arrangements too. I can tell immediately that fake flowers are fake and I just don't like the look!

Real due to the smell and they already have the “real look” since they’re legit real flowers 😂. That’s what I’m doing for my wedding. Might as well and actually I got all of the flowers I’ll need for my wedding a LOT cheaper than fake flowers (silk, sola wood, etc) since I got them at hyvee.

I went with real flowers. I just like the look and feel of them more. The only thing I was considering fake flowers for was the arch.

I'm going with fake. I've priced florists in my area and they've all told me that they can't touch the price that my flowers are going to cost.

I honestly would say fake (silk) flowers, because no one is really going to remember it or anything., and use that money towards something else for the wedding like food/drinks that’ll help people enjoy their time. But if money isn’t an issue, then go with real flowers.

As someone who pretty much hates all flowers I think real look pretty, but flowers smell awful and screw with my allergies.
Fake are way more convenient tho.

I'm actually making all our flowers out of the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter book pages, something that we share a love for. I hated the thought that my beautiful bouquet would wither if we used cut flowers. Now I'll have a keepsake forever!
